Deck Profiles: Love Live! (WS) – 2nd Years

Yup. That’s the name of my Deck as well as my Main Deck.

Based on the cards I pulled on 3 Booster Boxes of Love Live! and the Love Live! Trial Deck, I have come up with a decent Love Live! Deck Recipe that focuses on Honoka Kosaka, Kotori Minami, and Umi Sonoda.

So here are the Cards that I use in this Deck:

Main Cards

The Main Cards I use in this Deck are:

Energetic by Nature, Honoka

Honoka’s 1st ability goes active if there is 3 or more Music Type characters on your Stage. She gains +500 power and an Encore ability where you can discard a card from you Hand to Encore instead of removing 3 cards from your Stock.

When Honoka attacks, if the Climax card, First Thoughts, is in play, you can use her 2nd ability where you can search for a Music Type Character in your Waiting Room and return it to your Hand.

Otonokizaka High 2nd Year, Umi

Umi has 3 abilities: 2 Auto and 1 Continuous.

Umi’s continuous ability gives her +1000 power when there’s 3 or more Music Type Characters on your Stage.

When Umi is placed on the Stage from your Hand, her 1st auto ability makes you take the top card from your Clock Area and place it into your Waiting Room.

When Umi attacks, if the Climax card, You’re the Worst!, is in play, you can use her 2nd auto ability where you can search for a Music Type Character in your Waiting Room and return it to your Hand and all your Music Type Characters gain +1000 power till the end of the turn.

“Wonderful Rush” Kotori Minami

Kotori gets an addition +1000 power if she’s in the center-middle position in your Stage.

“Wonderful Rush” Honoka Kosaka

When Honoka is placed on the Stage from your Hand, her 1st ability makes you search for 1 Music Type Character in your Deck and you must show it to your Opponent before putting it in your Hand and then shuffle your Deck.

Honoka’s 2nd ability activates when one of your other Music Type Character attacks. She gains +1000 power till the end of the turn.

How to play the Deck

At Level 0, get as much stock as you can. If you have “Minalinsky” Kotori on stage and “Our LIVE, the LIFE with You” Kotori Minami in your waiting room, you can use “Minalinsky” Kotori‘s change ability and take out a Grade 1 early in the game.

At Level 1, if you placed a Red Card in the Level Area, have Energetic by Nature, Honoka set so when you play the Climax card, First Thoughts, you can use her ability. If you also have Childhood Umi on stage and Umi Sonoda in your waiting room, you can use Childhood Umi‘s change ability and take out a Grade 2 early.

If you placed a Yellow Card instead of a Red Card, the selection of cards is limited so you can still do the Level 0 method till you hit Level 2 unless you have Red cards in your Clock Area.

At Levels 2 and 3, use the same strategies from before or have “Wonderful Rush” Kotori Minami in the center-middle position and “Wonderful Rush” Honoka Kosaka and Otonokizaka High 2nd Year, Umi in the other center positions and quickly finish your Opponent off. If you have some trouble, you can use the Event Card, Uncool Step, to deal 5 Damage to your Opponent but it can be canceled if they draw a Climax card.

And That’s how you play the Deck!

I know that there are some that can make a similar and/or a modification of this deck but even though we don’t have the same cards, it could be played the same way or be played a different way.
